. There are five (5) doctors, six (6) medical assistants, twenty three (23) midwives and thirty three (33) nurses. Nakaseke Hospital is connected to other health units by a radio. Access to clean water is possible through a network of boreholes and a protected spring.

Population

The 2002 Uganda national census estimated the population of Nakaseke District at about 137,300 inhabitants, with an annual growth rate of 3.3%. Given those statistics, it is estimated that in 2010, the population of Nakaseke District was about 178,000. See table below:
