Ahmed made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1969-70 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, against Quetta. From the upper-middle order, he scored 8 runs in the first innings in which he batted, and 13 runs in the second, in a match which Kalat lost by an innings margin.
