His wife was Kalanimoeikawaikai, a chiefess of unknown descent who is sometimes referred to as Kalanimoeikawaikaa to separate a later chiefess of the same name who was the Queen Consort of Kauai. He and Kalanimoekawaikai had a son named Lakona
