New Orleans City Council

The New Orleans City Council is the legislative branch of the City of New Orleans, Louisiana

. There is one city council member for each of the five council districts, as well as two at-large council members. The council members are elected to four-year terms using the two-round system
variant of the single-winner voting system. The President and Vice President of the Council are chosen by the council after each election.
