The Foundation builds healthy and vibrant communities by strengthening the capacity of the voluntary sector
through investments in community-based initiatives in two granting programs: Community and Province-Wide.
The Community Program is overseen by local volunteers
who work in regional Grant Review Teams, reviewing applications and recommending projects for funding. The Foundation's Board of Directors
oversees the approval of applications to the Province-Wide program and provides final approval for grants in both programs. Deadlines for applications are March 1, July 1, and November 1. A standard application along with a simplified application for small capital grants under $15,000 are available at the organization's website.
