programme, titled "The Transformation of Orchard Park – Shaping the Place, Creating a Fruitful Future". This was approved by Housing Minister John Healey
in July 2009, with an allocation of £156 million for council housing build and maintenance over the PFI period. However, in November 2010 the Government cancelled all "pipeline" Housing PFI initiatives, including Orchard Park.
