Grant's corner threw in the towel in the 10th in a fight in which Grant was down in the 6th and 10th rounds. Grant retired in 2006 following a loss to Librado Andrade

Personal life

Otis Grant, along with his brother Howard Grant, own a boxing gym in Dollard Des Ormeaux, Montreal, where he coaches and manages amateur boxing events and works at Lindsay Place High School. He is married to Betty Mullins and has 2 children. He lives with his family in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
