. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 62,561 people. It is located on the northern shore of Tayabas Bay
on Luzon
, just east of Lucena City
, the provincial capital.
The Municipality of Pagbilao rests in the province of Quezon, region 4, and has a total land area of 17,760 hectares. Pagbilao focuses its development goals and objectives as an agricultural municipality but opening its horizon to industries taking into consideration the sustainability of services. Cultural, social and religious legacies will be preserved. Economic activities geared towards total development will be enhanced. Pagbilao has numerous primary and secondary educational institutions like the Pagbilao Central Elementary School (public), Pagbilao Academy (high school, private), Casa del Niño Jesus de Pagbilao
