They took a first place in 2009–2010 term. Persipura also took a second place during 2010–2011 and also become a runner up for Indonesian Cup. They got lost from Sriwijaya FC during final, they lost 2–1 at the final. After that term they use transfer window to strengthen their team and also they keep the old coach. During this 2011–2012 season, Persipura finally took the first place at Indonesian Super League and also now they still played at AFC Champion League Cup. They will compete with Arbil Katana team from Irak. Persipura wil play home in 13th of September and also second leg they will play away in 27th of September.
