Plaus is a comune

in the Italian
region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km north of the city of Trento
and about 30 km northwest of the city of Bolzano.
Plaus is one of the three communes of South Tyrol whose name, for the simple reason of being overlooked, remained unchanged by the fascist
renaming programme
which aimed at replacing mostly German place names
with Italianized versions.
