Before Polly started Radio presenting, she trained as a track and field athlete, representing Wales and GB Juniors in Long Jump, Triple Jump and Multi events, in which she was Welsh Champion on many occasions.
Polly achieved a BTEC Diploma in Sports delevlopment at Barry College and soon after worked in a hotel gym in Cardiff as a personal trainer.

In April 2009, Polly did her first show on Absolute Radio and continued on the weekend overnights until she moved weekdays in August 2011.
When Polly moved to the weekdays on Absolute Radio the press release stated, 'Nobody can doubt Polly's energy, effervescence and sense of fun through the early hours and she has kept many a nightshifter entertained through the wee hours'.
