The newly formed Green Party of Prince Edward Island
captured 3.04% of the vote or 4.44% in ridings they contested, beating out the Prince Edward Island New Democratic Party
for third place. The New Democrats
fell to 1.96% or 3.43% in ridings contested. They captured 3.06% of the vote, or 3.48% in the 24 of the 27 ridings they contested in the 2003 election
