"Kali is a special type of song writing and Manak has sung only 13-14 Kalian in his singing career," said Dev Tharike Wala, making it clear that not every song is a Kali. Although Kuldeep Manak sang only 13-14 Kalian in his career, he became the second best-known figure in the genre and is known as "Kalian Da Badshah" (English: King of Kalian). The reason for this was the great popularity of one of his Kali, Tere Tille Ton (written by Dev Tharike Wala).
