Rajah Sulaiman movement is an organization in the Philippines

in 1991. Its membership consists of Filipino Christians
who have converted to Islam and it is now one of the major conflicts in the Philippines. According to the Philippine government, the group's soldiers have been trained, financed and governed by Abu Sayyaf
and Jemaah Islamiah, a Philippine terrorist group with links to Al Qaeda.
The group is named after Rajah Sulaiman III, a 16th century Muslim chieftain of Manila
who fought the Spaniards
during the colonization of the Philippines. Similar to the Abu Sayyaf, the members belonging to this group claim they want to re-established the Islamic government and its religion in the Philippines.
