In addition to its 56 parish churches, the diocese oversees 44 schools, three general hospitals, plus one disabled and five ethnic ministry centers. It also sponsors a variety of programs and activities in conjunction with other local organizations.

approved the sale of the Crystal Cathedral
facility in Garden Grove
to the Diocese of Orange. The diocese plans to lease the building, which has served as the headquarters and main worship space for the Protestant Crystal Cathedral Ministries
since 1981, to Crystal Cathedral Ministries for 3 years. After that time, Crystal Cathedral Ministries will relocate to a nearby facility in Garden Grove that currently houses a Catholic church and school; the diocese will then convert the Crystal Cathedral building into the diocesan cathedral.
