Saadat-e-Bara

Sadat-e-Bara sometimes pronounced Sadaat-e-Barha, are a community of Sayyid
s who inhabit a group of twelve villages situated in the Muzaffarnagar
district of Uttar Pradesh
in India
. This community had considerable influence during the latter days of the Mughal Empire
. They were also found in Karnal District
and Haryana
in India
. Many members of this community have migrated to Pakistan
after independence have settled in Karachi
,Khairpur State in Sind and Lahore
in Afghanistan
, from Wasit, at the invitation of Mahmud of Ghazna. He had four sons who settled in four villages Kundli Tihanpur,Jajner and Chhat-Banur, near the city of Patiala. These four sons founded a number of clans, the main ones being Chhatrodi, Kondliwal, Thhenpuri and Jajnori, from the villages assigned to them. Some of their descendents settled in Delhi
, but some returned to their villages. The Sayyids who remained in Delhi
came to be called shahrwala, and those who lived outside were called bahirwala or bahira, which was corrupted to Bara, which was further corrupted when some of them moved to the south to the city of Gulbarga
and came to be known as Barey.

Main crops are wheat,rice and sugarcane. There are lots of mango orchards around. Sandhawli is an important village in the area which has contributed to the intelligentsia.Miranpur was founded by Nawab Miran another important qasba in Tehsil Jansath.
Zaidis currently have some specific population centres in Karachi, these includes the jaffar-e-Tayyar society, Ancholi, Rizvia Society and Abbas Town.

Zaidi Sadats, descendents of Nawab Mohammad Miran from Miranpur India settled in Khairpur state Pakistan, the prominent being Nawab Syed Asghar Abbas Zaidi. Some of the sadats later moved to Karachi.
