 in Jesenice, Slovenia. Signe qualified for the Junior Grand Prix Finals in 2002 as well as made the Junior World Team and Junior National Team.

Ronka retired from competitive skating in 2006 where she ended her career with a 10th place finish at the Canadian Championships in senior ladies. Once retired from competitive, she went on to skate for the University of Toronto

 Varsity team where she placed 1st at the 2007 and 2008 OUA Finals. In 2008, Signe received the Competitive Athlete of the Year award from the University of Toronto

Signe was selected to skate at the Canada's Wonderland "Endless Summer" ice show, where she skated for two seasons (2007–2008).

Currently, Signe is a coach/choreographer at East York skating club as well as the Granite Club in Toronto, Canada. She is a founder of "Figure Skater Bootcamp", program designed by Signe that entails cardio, agility and strength training, while incorporating off – ice jumping.
