South Avenue is a major north-south artery along the West Shore
of the New York City borough of Staten Island
. It is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) long, and runs through the neighborhoods of Arlington

Most of the area that South Avenue runs through was once industrial up until the late twentieth century. This area today is home to mostly office parks and includes a few residential sections as well as retail areas. Landmarks include the Staten Island Corporate Park, the Staten Island Teleport,, and the Staten Island Hilton Garden Inn.
South Avenue is served by the S46/S96 local buses south of Brabant Street (southbound) and south of Forest Avenue (northbound). The northern section is served by the S40/S90 and S48/S98 local buses, as well as the X12/X42 express buses. The X30 serves South Avenue in the Graniteville
neighborhood during AM rush hours.
