The FERFRANS SOAR uses a unique patented rate reduction system (FERFRANS RRS) that reduces the cyclic rate of fire regardless of barrel length.

Variants

Known variants include SOARs with 10.5, 11.5 and 14.5 inches (368.3 mm) barrels. Known upgrades are known as the 10.5 Mk2, 10.5 Mk2-2 and the 11 Mk2.
