Splatalot! is a medieval-themed physical game show for kids which made its English Canadian premiere on March 14, 2011 on YTV. It is hosted by Jason Agnew, and Matt Chin. The series is similar to Wipeout. Splatalot! is produced by Toronto-based marblemedia
. It features a large, extreme obstacle course and three rounds of competition: Cross the Moat, Escape the Stockade, and Capture the Crown. Each episode features a different group of 12 teenage contestants (known as Attackers) competing against not only the obstacles and the clock, but also the Defenders. The Defenders are an international squad of nine medieval themed gladiators, who are tasked with protecting the castle from the Attackers. The winning Attacker is crowned King or Queen of Splatalot!.

The Defenders
Splatalot! features a recurring cast of Defenders, consisting of nine charismatic young adults. Each episode features only 6 of the 9 Defenders, ensuring that the audiences never sees the same lineup twice. Each Defender has their own unique persona, colour, costume and signature weapon - they work together to incite laughter and most importantly, impede the Attackers until one of them proves that he or she is worthy of the crown of Splatalot!.The Defenders:
Blue Defenders
- Knightress - a tough-as-nails female paladin and the leader of the defenders. Her weapon of choice is a lance - played by Gloria Onitri
- Shaiden - a beautiful and mysterious ninja girl. Her weapon of choice is a katana (knicknamed the "Splatana"). Kookaburra is shown to have developed a crush on her. She's also Thorne's sister - played by Grace FrancisGrace FrancisGrace Francis is an English actress from Ingleby Barwick. Red Defenders
- Ballista - an alluring huntress whom both Matt and Jason (in the British version, Dick and DomDick and DomDick and Dom are a children's comic double act consisting of the presenters Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood. ) have expressed interest in. Her weapon of choice is a crossbow-styled cannon - played by Samantha Brown - Tinkor - a wacky engineer, who invents the Splatalot machinary, proving he's smarter than he looks. His weapon of choice is a Splats-O-ker - played by Matt Burns
- Gildar - a handsome and talented yet vain and self-absorbed Viking whom is the self-proclaimed most handsome. Weapon of choice is a Viking hammer, though he also carries a mirror with him - played by RJ Skinner
Green Defenders
- Kookaburra - a wacky Australian guy and the team's joker in the pack who has a bird-like design, often nicknamed 'Kook'. His Weapon of choice is a slingshot. He is revealed to have a crush on Shaiden, and is played ABC3 host James Elmer
- Crocness - a swamp-dwelling, half-human, half-reptile woman who's the most dangerous and aggressive of the defenders (apart from Skabb). Her weapon of choice is a staff with a horned skull on it - played by Chenoa Deemal
- Skabb - an extremely violent barbarian whose real name is revealed to be Alan "Skabb" Tonelli. Like Crocness, he's one of the most dangerous and aggressive of the defenders. His weapon of choice a club - played by Wendo Mhogolo

Round 1: Cross the Moat
Round One sees the Attackers challenged with overcoming a series of large obstacles including the Spinning Mace Roll, The Beastly Battle Axes and the Perilous Pole Vault. At the end of the round, the six fastest Attackers will move on to the second round.Round 2: Escape the Stockade
Trapped within the confines of a fortified stockade, Round Two finds all six Attackers from Round One competing at the same time to build or uncover an escape route into the castle courtyard. A variety of giant, slippery, rotating obstacles and three Defenders armed with paint-soaked projectiles provide the challenge in this round. The fastest four Attackers to overcome the obstacles and escape the stockade advance to Round 3.Round 3: Capture the Crown
In Round 3, the remaining four Attackers must race across the obstacle-ridden courtyard, up to the throne room where the crown lays in wait. In their path are all 6 Defenders from both rounds taking up various positions around the courtyard, wielding various weapons and devices to impede the Attackers' progress. In the end, only one Attacker will make it past the Defenders and capture the crown, winning that week's episode.Interactive

This series of online games emulates the athleticism and strategy an Attacker would need to be victorious on Splatalot!.
