Education

Stavely's only school, Stavely Elementary School, teaches local children from Kindergarten through Grade 6. The school was renovated in 2002, and its school motto is Every Child Shines.

At the end of each school year, the school holds a ceremony where the students are awarded for their kindness, academics, athletics, and outgoingness. The awards include the:

• Star Citizen Award (Kindest and Most Responsible Student) - Grades Kindergarten to Grade 6;
• Academic Award (Highest Overall Average) - Grades 3-6;
• Athletic Award (Most Athletic and Best Sporstsmanship) - Grade 6 only; and
• Galaxy Award (Outstanding Student) - Grade 6 only.

Attractions

Stavely is known as the home of the Stavely Indoor Rodeo. Founded in 1929, it is the world's first indoor rodeo.

The town also has a 9-hole golf course. It was one of the few remaining sand green golf courses in Canada. However, the sand greens were recently converted to artificial greens.

The Pine Coulee Reservoir, a popular place for recreation and camping, is 5 km west of Stavely.
