As the firm's senior Design Partner, Stephen Irwin has been responsible for the conceptual design of many of Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners' most memorable projects. A graduate of Harvard University, Stephen is a recipient of the Prix de Rome (RIBA) and a member of the Royal College of Art (RCA), Stephen began his design career in 1962 in Sweden for Gronwall-Hirsch and worked for one year in London, England for Hugh Casson, Condor & Partners. He returned to Canada in 1965 where he joined Shore & Moffat and has been a partner of the firm since 1971. A multi-award winning designer, Stephen's portfolio includes numerous significant projects including the Metropolitan Toronto Police Headquarters, the Xerox Research Centre in Mississauga, the Queen's University Bioscience Complex in Kingston, the Purdy's Wharf Office Complex in Nova Scotia, and the Mississauga Central Library.
