The culinary class operates an in-school restaurant called The Screaming Avocado, where gourmet foods are prepared by students and served as healthy, balanced meals to the students. One of the most popular items on their menu is their delicious pizza.
Over 1200 students go to school at Northwestern, about 200 of which are grade 7 and 8s.
There are many interesting programs at Northwestern, such as Me To We, the Northern Voice (newspaper), and Glee club.
