The Law School currently operates from the Graham Hills Building having been temporarily relocated from the Lord Hope Building (named after Lord Hope of Craighead

) until the summer of 2012 as part of a more extensive refurbishment of that building. The Law School's Lord Hope Building facilities were officially opened by the Lord Advocate

was awarded Scottish Law Lecturer of the Year 2007 at the Law Awards of Scotland, and the Law School obtained more nominations than any other law school in 2007, with Professors Norrie, Robson and Rodger being nominated.
The nominations for the 2008 award also included two Strathclyde Law School lecturers: Professor John Blackie and Professor Donald Nicolson.
In the 2009 New Year Honours List Professor Alan Paterson was awarded an OBE for services to law and legal education.

In March 2009, the University of Strathclyde Law School won Best Contribution by a Law School for the work and success of its Law Clinic at the LawWorks & Attorney General Student Awards in London .. The Law Clinic was also shortlisted in two other categories: the Best Contribution by a Team of Students category and the Best Contribution by an Individual Student category.
Strathclyde won the UKELA Student Moot comepetition in 2009. Strathclyde is also the reigning champion of the Alexander Stone Moot, having won the last two competitions in 2009 and 2010. They were also the 2009 European Champion of the international Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot and represented Europe at the world finals in South Korea
in October 2009.
Strathclyde also participates in the annual Sheriff Moot, organised by Glasgow Sheriff Court

. Strathclyde currently holds the trophy, whilst Glasgow leads the series 10-9.
The current President of Mooting is Zara Mohammed, and Vice-President is Frances Garratt.
