The band's debut album, Turbines for Speed was released in 1998. However, McConnell died unexpectedly in 1999. The band carried on, however, consisting of members Vaughn Passmore, Johnny Trash, Scott B. Sympathy, Linda Feijo, Terry Wilkins, Duncan McBain, James Gray, and Tim Bovaconti. (Turbines for Speed had included a cover of Sympathy's hit "Drinking With the Poet".)
