Stuart Hall High School is a college-preparatory high school

classes are mandatory for graduation. Heavy emphasis is placed on community involvement, service, critical thinking and self-development.
Each Stuart Hall High School student completes four years of English, history, mathematics, theology, and philosophy/religion; three years of lab science and international language; two years of physical education; and one year of computer science and fine arts.
Students have a choice of AP courses, including art history, biology, calculus, chemistry, comparative government/politics, computer science, English language/composition, environmental science, European history, French language, French literature, human geography, music theory, physics, psychology, Spanish language, Spanish literature, studio art, US government/politics and US history. Some of the classes are coed.
On June 4, an email was sent to some senior parents detailing that the board was considering closing down the school. This was followed by several other email to members of the school community, spreading information about the possible closure.
Upon the conclusion of the online pledges, the Steering Committee met its goal of $3 million. The Steering Committee presented their plan to the members of the Board of Trustees, which voted unanimously in favor of it. The plan will use pledged money to ensure the ongoing survival of the school, as well as launch some operational cost cuts and intensify marketing and recruitment efforts. Under the newly adopted plan, Stuart Hall High School will remain open permanently while it builds itself financially.

2010 Financial Crisis
In June 2010, amid small incoming classes, the Board of Trustees of the Schools of the Sacred Heart considered closing down Stuart Hall High School. A recent seismic retrofit of a separate campus and dwindling interest in single-sex education placed the school in crisis.
