The Syracuse Silver Knights are an indoor soccer
team in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Having formed in 2010 with the intention of playing in the new I-League

league set to begin play in 2011), the team moved to the MISL when the two struggling leagues merged. The team was rumored to be named the Syracuse Scorpions and revive the name of an old American Soccer League
team. However, the name Silver Knights was announced at the team's inaugural press conference.
The club signed former Syracuse Salty Dogs
player Ryan Hall. The club announced the signing of former Major League Soccer
star Diego Serna
on October 11, 2011.
The team will play at the Onondaga War Memorial at Oncenter.
They won their first ever MISL game 16-15 vs. the Rochester Lancers (2010)
on November, 4th, 2011.
16-15 at their home arena, The Oncenter. They went up to first place in the MISL Eastern Division after defeating the Norfolk Sharx 23-7. Syracuse then improved its record to 3-0 after beating the Baltimore Blast
18-7. The Silver Knights lost their first ever MISL match against the Rochester Lancers, losing 22-13 away from home. The Silver Knights then lost their second consecutive game in the league also to the Rochester Lancers by the same scoreline as the reverse fixture 22-13. The Silver Knights lost their third consecutive game to the hands of the Baltimore Blast, losing 18-10 on their home field.
