During his training Shi-Woon unwittingly joins Alex, a top-class porter and also the new school janitor, and gets involved in a mission to rescue the leader of the now-splintered but still very powerful Sun-Woo clan, So-Sul. So-Sul has the appearance of a young child even though she is fifteen years old due to her having an incredibly rare condition known as the Nine Yin Body Type, preventing her from performing any strenuous activity, including even talking, for a prolongued time. She grows attached to and develops feelings for Shi-Woon during her stay at Shi-Ho's apartment after witnessing how selfless he is, and that he, unlike many others who have died around her, would not suffer the same fate leaving her alone again. At the same time Shi-Woon also has his first encounter with So-Chun Hyuk, the young head of The Heavenly Way School and highly famous Murim-in said to be a genius amongst geniuses. He intercedes and prevents Shi-Woon from landing with a potentially fatal punch to Chang-Ho after he and his gang tried assaulting Sae-Hee. During their confrontation, So-Chun is amazed at the sheer willpower and spirit that Shi-Woon shows after being beaten mercilessly to the point where he cannot understand how he is still standing. Shortly after Chun-Woo appears and they part ways. After a small break at the beach, Chun-Woo's location becomes known and he, Shi-Ho and So-Sul have to take their leave with Chun-Woo saying that he and Shi-Woon will meet again.
The next day, Shi-Woon attends school and after confronting Chang-Ho goes to class. It is at this times that the Alliance Chief and a number of his subordinates appear to search for clues on the Nine Arts Dragon. They find that he has been associating with a boy and call him on his phone, Shi-Woon picks up and while talking is attacked from behind by Chang-Ho carrying a bat. Chang-Ho threatens anyone who tries to interfere and when bringing down the bat to hit Sae-Hee who tried to protect Shi-Woon, is knocked unconscious by a punch thrown by Shi-Woon. Immediately after, two Murim attempt to apphrehend Shi-Woon but he escapes. So-Chun also arrives and finds the actions of the Alliance Chief suspicious and so calls for a meetings of all the Munjus (Alliance Heads). Meanwhile, Chun-Woo and Shi-Ho are at a shipyard talking and they both confess their feelings for each other. This is short-lived, however, as Alex and two other members of the Black Forest Defense inform Chun-Woo that Shi-Woon is being chased by the whole Martial Arts Alliance and that he has yet to be caught. Chun-Woo, recalling his own past and how his master died, decides to go to the Alliance HQ and rescue Shi-Woon. Shi-Ho, saying she loves him, tells him that she will accompany him. Shi-Woon gets caught when he faces Kang-Sung, a master thought to rival the Nine Arts Dragon himself, but he does not remain captured for long as he covertly escapes when two Murim-ins help him escape by pretending to be escorts. The ruse is quickly found out and the Alliance comes in hot pursuit but are unable to catch Shi-Woon due to his rescuer's use of tactics. Chun-Woo at this time has already knocked Shi-Ho out and handed her over to her ex-boyrfiend Won-Jae, as he believes it to be too dangerous for where he is going. He arrives at the HQ and proceeds to face a furious Iron Fist Munju (Head of the Iron Fist School) who, despite being able to flip over a car with ease, proved to be little match for Chun-Woo; some Murim that witnessed the fight claimed that Chun-Woo was merely toying with him before he killed him. Shi-Woon overhears on the radio that the Alliance claim that he has been captured. Realising that this is a ploy to lure in the Nine Arts Dragon, he sets off to the KOA Building to meet up with his teacher.
Meanwhile, Chun-Woo, driving to the KOA building, encounters three Munjus but before there is a conclusion, Shi-Ho arrives and he leaves with her. Upon arriving there, there is a large crowd awaiting the arrival of the Goomoonryong, many of which were at the last Martial Arts Championship and where inspired by him. He, along with Shi-Ho, enter even knowing that it is a trap. His elevator ride to the top floor is cut short and he enters a room full of top level Alliance fighters. Shi-Woon arrives at the KOA building and emplores the doorman, Gyu-Bum Yi, a member of the four Supernovas, to let him in but he is denied. He proceeds to use the Soul-Crushing Strike on the entrance and is recognized as the Nine Arts Dragon's apprentice. He has a fight with Gyu-Bum and although clearly outmatched lands a blow that damages him. This angers Gyu-Bum and he uses his Lightning Fist but before it comes into contact with Shi-Woon, Mun-Gi Ma appears to save Shi-Woon. He reveals that it was his men who pretended to be the escorts as he wishes to repay the debt that he owes Shi-Woon for persuading Chun-Woo to spare him and his men's lives. During the conversation between the two Supernovas, it is found out that Gyu-Bum was an avid follower of the Nine Arts Dragon, but after his disappearance, his school was targeted as a symbol of hate for the Alliance and was destroyed. Another revealation is that Gyu-Bum is a retainer of So-Sul and was unaware that she had been freed from the custody of the Torrent Clan. Knowing this, he aids Shi-Woon and using his access card helps Chun-Woo and Shi-Woon escape from the numerous remaining Murim. After a short break, they are forced out to the top of the building where the Alliance Chief and all of the Munjus are.
Chun-Woo proceeds to fight with the Alliance Chief but is outmatched due to his exhaustion from fighting and defeating many of the top Alliance Murim on a previous floor. Shi-Ho comes up with the plan to help him by transferring Ki from Shi-Woon to Chun-Woo to give him a fighting chance. She succeeds and just before Chun-Woo can mount a counterattack, he is shot from behind in the torso and Shi-Ho is shot twice by a member of the Song-Hak Dojo, Hyun-Tae, whose elder brother died fighting against Chun-Woo. Distraught, Chun-Woo asks for medics but the Alliance Chief intercedes, saying their match is still ongoing and will only allow medical attention to Shi-Ho if he hands over the Black Heaven and Earth Technique. Chun-Woo agrees but immediately after So-Sul arrives with Alex in a helicopter along with Demetri and Dakeshi, two other members of the Black Forest Defence who cover for Chun-Woo and Shi-Ho. However, just before they reach the helicopter, the Alliance Chief catches up and sends Chun-Woo flying. He then steps on Shi-Ho, revealing that he was a fellow pupil of Un-Wol (Chun-Woo's master), and that they trained under the same mentor. Looking down, the Chief sees a large amount of blood under Shi-Ho and is shocked at how her condition has worsened. It is shown that during the clash when the Chief caught up, she was shot once more by a sniper under the orders of the elder of the Black Forest Defence Group. His wish is to see the Nine Arts Dragon transform into a being that will spread terror throughout the Murim known as the Demon King. Chun-Woo smashes the face of the Chief with his arm that had been placed in a cast, sending him flying. He then exchanges his final words and a kiss with Shi-Ho before she dies. This event causes him to go on a rampage using the "Black Origin Threshold," a state originating from the Black Heaven and Earth technique which is the highest known level to have been achieved in Martial Arts, this form making the user lose all reason and attack friends and foes indiscriminantly. He overpowers all those around his with ease, even nearly landing a fatal punch to Shi-Woon's head before he was saved by So-Chun, but is finally pushed back when Kang-Sung arrives and prepares to die along with him to prevent any more destruction. Fortunately, Shi-Woon is able to pull Chun-Woo from his rampage, but afterwards is held hostage by the Alliance Chief. Chun-Woo, rather than sacrificing himself and leaving Shi-Woon with the same guilt he felt, expels Shi-Woon as his disciple and destroys his Ki center, leaving Shi-Woon without the ability to use martial arts.
Shi-Woon later wakes up in a hospital and learns that after he became unconscious, Chun-Woo disappeared with the other Black Forest members and So-Sul, having only left behind a cell phone with video tutorials on his techniques for Shi-Woon. A few weeks later, Shi-Woon is at school and adjusting back to life before he met Chun-Woo and the others. News has spread of his beating of Chang-Ho and he was being challenged by others for the top spot. On his way through the school exit, he is greeted by a large number of men in black suits led by Gyu-Bum who tells him that he has become the new Head of the Sun-Woo Clan, as he is now in possession of the Phoenix Medallion and that a new Murim world awaits him.

The Breaker
Shi-Woon Yi is a first-year student at Nine Arts Dragon High School who is constantly bullied by Chang-Ho, and has reached his breaking point until he meets the new teacher Chun-Woo Han, a member of the secret martial arts world of Murim At first, Chun-Woo sees Shi-Woon as an annoyance for constantly trying to get him to teach him martial arts. However, after a number of incidents where Shi-Woon shows his resolve, including jumping off of a bridge and running enough laps that for his weak body caused him a heart attack, Chun-Woo accepts Shi-Woon under his teachings. Another member of the Murim and acquaintance of Chun-Woo called Shi-Ho Lee becomes employed at the school as a nurse. She sees Shi-Woon's training and informs him that due to his body's weak constitution and a problem with his blood vessels he cannot learn martial arts, but that there is a way to overcome this: by consuming the Illwallsidan (One Moon Divine Dan). This pill results in his body ingesting a huge amount of Ki, that of a large number of high level murim combined, and without proper training his body would be overcome due to not being a strong-enough container for this power and he would die. Chun-Woo teaches Shi-Woon the Hyun-Chun-Ji-Gong (Black Heaven and Earth Technique), a technique revered in the Murim world as the ultimate energy distribution technique, the same technique that Chun-Woo's master Un-Wol was killed protecting. Chun-Woo is seeking revenge for his master through the "Black Forest Defense Group," which seeks to blend the Murim society with normal society and cause a conflict between the two worlds.During his training Shi-Woon unwittingly joins Alex, a top-class porter and also the new school janitor, and gets involved in a mission to rescue the leader of the now-splintered but still very powerful Sun-Woo clan, So-Sul. The Breaker: New Waves
No longer a member of the martial arts world of Murim, Shi-Woon Yi is supposed to return to his normal life. However, he was given a medallion from So-Sul that names him as the new leader of the Sun-Woo clan. The Sun-Woo clan elders send Jin-Ie Kwon as protection for Shi-Woon, and to make him accept the position of head of the clan so they can make him their puppet. Shi-Woon is confronted by several individuals with grudges against his master. Despite having a shattered ki center, Shi-Woon chooses to fight in order to protect the reputation of his master. The Sun-Woo clan, realizing that Shi-Woon will not be a willing puppet for them, orders Jin-Ie to kill him, but she spares his life. Not wanting to cause trouble for Jin-Ie, Shi-Woon goes into hiding, hoping the Sun-Woo clan will believe he is dead. Shi-Woon encounters difficulties, however, when he starts getting regularly attacked on the street by the S.U.C. (Soldiers Under Command), an organization of individuals claiming to be "disciples" of the Nine Arts Dragon. They claim that in order to fullfil Chun-Woo's will, they must eliminate his "first student", Shi-Woon. Believing that they are going against his master's beliefs and teachings, Shi-Woon tries to fight them but struggles. He encounters a mysterious homeless man who gives him a special medicine that, when consumed, allows Shi-Woon's body to produce Ki for a limited period of time despite his shattered Ki center. With it, Shi-Woon is able to utilize his old techniques and defeat several of his attackers. Told repeatedly that there is no way to fix his shattered Ki center, Shi-Woon resolves to find a way to get stronger.Main characters
- A weak cowardly boy who is constantly being bullied until he encounters his new teacher using martial arts to defend himself. Shi-Woon begs him to teach him. After several instances where the cowardly boy shows he has heart and will fight with all his might, he becomes Chun-Woo's pupil. He was given the Illwallsidan (One Moon Divine Dan) by Shi-Ho that forcefully increases Ki, and, had it not been for Goomoonryongs help, would have died due to large of amount of Ki his body could not contain. Due to ingesting the pill, Shi-Woon now possess quick healing abilities, greater stamina and physical ability. Though the main effect of the pill is the extremely large amount of Ki he now holds in his body, seemingly giving him endless stamina and great strength in martial arts techniques. However initially, Shi-Woon's body is not yet able to take the strain of the great amount of Ki he suddenly possesses and when summoning too much strength would harm him.
- Over the course of the first series, he shows that he has an affinity for learning martial arts, as he was able to perform a high level technique, Lightning Steps, after being shown only once. He was also able to align his Ki with external movements, allowing him to use Spirit Breaking Strike within a week. These abilities usually takes months, if not years, for high level Murim to learn and perfect, proving that Shi-Woon may have hidden talents yet to be fully realized. Due to his master's intent of removing him from the Murim world and not suffering the same pain he felt on his master's sacrifice, Chun-Woo destroyed his Ki-center, effectively taking away his ability to do martial arts. It is recently revealed in New Waves that Shi-Woon does have skills for martial arts, the reason being that he is able to possess a great amount of Ki due to Goo-Moon-Ryong expanding his Meridians (channels of Ki that is stored in the Ki Center) to an abnormally large extent, allowing him to possess the amount of Ki equal to Master class martial artists.
- A member of the secret martial arts world Murim and Shi-Woon's new schoolteacher. At first, he is against training Shi-Woon, but the boy reminds him of himself with his martial arts master. After seeing Shi-Woon's resolve to become his apprentice, he ultimately caves in and becomes Shi-Woon's teacher, teaching him martial arts.
- He is referred to in general as the Goomoonryong, or "Nine Arts Dragon," in the Murim world for achieving the feat of learning the Nine Dragon School techniques which he displayed during the last Sinmungjenpe (Fight amongst God's army) where he brought down numerous renowned masters one after the other. However, it was this show of technique that in the end resulted in his own master's death. Through flashbacks, it is shown that, like Shi-Woon, he, himself, was bullied as a kid and begged Master Un-Wol to train him. At first he grew overconfident after learning a few moves that allowed him to beat normal people, but Un-Wol taught him that the abuse of power will only lead to one's own destruction. Notably Shi-Woon has said a number of quotes that are very similar to those that Un-Wol said, as they both view power as a means to protect and not to harm others. Chun-Woo stuck to this philosophy until he saw his own master die in front of him due to the action of the Martial Arts Alliance elders who demanded the Hyun-Ghun-Ji-Gong (Black Heaven and Earth Technique). It was this event that fueled his desire to destroy the Martial Arts Alliance. Later on, he joins the Black Defense Group and gained the assignment to attend the Nine Arts Dragon High School as a teacher. He is also reunited with his comrade Shi-Ho Lee, whom he eventually developes feelings for, which are mutual.
- As Shi-Woon's training continues, Chun-Woo and his allies are eventually forced to flee from the MAA. Refusing to abandon his disciple, he launches an assault on the MAA's headquarters and after doing battle with many martial art masters, finally fights the Alliance Chief. Unfortunately, due to the government's interference, Shi-Ho is killed by a sniper and Chun-Woo flies into a rage from the Black Threshold. Shi-Woon manages to convince him to stop, but he is soon taken hostage by the chief. Chun-Woo then expels Shi-Woon as his disciple and kills the Alliance Chief, shattering Shi-Woon's ki-center in the process. After a brief battle with Kang-Sung, he declares that he would return to destroy the Alliance soon and departs.
- He later appears in New Waves, watching a video of the S.U.C. causing trouble. He slaughters Black Forest Defense members waiting outside to ambush him.
- A redheaded girl (inherited from her father) born to an American father and a Korean mother. During her early life, she lived with her mother in America. However, following a plane crash which resulted in her mother's death, her maternal grandfather took her in. She was trained in the Sun-Woo Clan's martial arts, and is said to be amongst the top five for her skills.
- At the start of New Waves, she is guarding Shi-Woon from other Schools that want to exact revenge on him for actions committed by the Nine Arts Dragon. After Shi-Woon is introduced to the four elders of the Sun-Moon Clan, she is transferred into the Nine Arts School where many believe she is a delinquent due to her red hair and mannerisms. Although she is meant to protect Shi-Woon, her grandfather has stated to her that she should not interfere in any attacks until he is half-dead as to inspire fear in Shi-Woon, making him an easier puppet to control. She gradually develops feelings for Shi-Woon.
- After she runs away from the Sun-Woo Clan, Jin-Ie was discovered by Ji-Woo Li, one of the leaders of S.U.C. who killed her cat, but was saved by Joon-Ho Yang who later finds her a job at a maid café with Ji-Gun Yoo's help, much to her chagrin.
- A very attractive woman who uses her sex appeal to make people (especially men) do as she wishes. She can be very manipulative when she wants, making the likes of Alex carry out jobs which she would prefer not to do. Chun-Woo once claimed that there has never been a person that she has targeted that hadn't been taken in by her. She was a member of the Chun-Nyu-Moon (Heavenly Maiden Skill) and is very skilled at administering drugs, and has a in-depth knowledge of the human body and Ki system. With this knowledge, she has the ability to transfer Ki from one person to another. Her own fighting skills are also high level, as she was able to escape capture after meeting Won-Jae Hyun and held her own when fighting alongside Chun-Woo against the Alliance. She died in the hands on Chun-Woo on the top of the Alliance HQ after jumping in front of a gun aimed at Chun-Woo. She was used as a bargaining chip to make Chun-Woo hand over the Black Heaven and Earth Technique when gravely injured, but during the commotion was shot once again unnoticed by a sniper. She was in love with Chun-Woo and saw Yoon-Ji as a rival, always interfering with his attempts to date her. She drives a Mini Cooper SMini Hatch (2001–2006)The first new generation Mini was introduced in 2001. In many European markets, the Mini One was powered by a 1.4 litre I4 version of the Tritec engine but all other petrol powered Minis used the 1.6 litre I4 version...
as her personal vehicle.
- It is later revealed in Chapter 38 of New Waves that Shi-Ho's body is held by Won-Jae, who plans to bring her back to life.
- The Head of the Sun-Woo Clan. Although she has the appearance of a young girl, she is actually fifteen years old, but due to her body's condition, she does not seem to grow. She has an incredibly rare condition called the Nine Yin Type Body. With this condition, her body has very poor Ki circulation due to the Ki channels being blocked in nine places. It is thought that if this condition can be alleviated, then that person can go on to learn godly techniques impossible to do by human standards.
- Before the events of the first series, So-Sul was thought to be a mark upon the Sun-Woo Clan and that she ought to be removed, yet her father the head protected her by giving her the Phoenix Medallion, the symbol of the head thus protecting her. It is at this time that she went into hiding but was at some point captured by the Alliance and held until she was freed by Shi-Woon and Alex. After meeting Shi-Woon she is initially skeptical of his motives, as she believes all humans crave power to destroy, but later comes to see that is not why he wants strength but to be able to protect his loved ones, and develops very strong feelings for him.
- So-Sul can be thought of as one of the most influential characters to the story, as she is the reason why Chun-Woo used a teacher as a cover in the first place, and when she gave Shi-Woon the Phoenix Medallion, it brought him back to the Murim world after the events at the Alliance HQ, making way for the second series.
Nine Arts Dragon High School students
- A childhood friend of Shi-Woon who is the prettiest girl at the Nine Arts Dragon School. Despite this, she is not arrogant but instead kind and polite. During the time when Shi-Woon was bullied, she was the only person who offered him any support. Shi-Woon looks at her as one of the two people, along with Chun-Woo, whom he owes his current strength to, and that he could not repay his debt to her within his lifetime. She tends to get targeted by people with a grudge against Shi-Woon, which has caused him to become very protective of her. This behavior has led to more than one person assuming she is his girlfriend. Sae-Hee does not know of the Murim world and Shi-Woon prefers this, as it means she can stay as far away from danger as possible.
- A complete sociopath and one of the series' many antagonists. Prior to the beginning of the series, his bullying pushed Shi-Woon to contemplate suicide by jumping off the roof at school, an event which led to Shi-Woon meeting his teacher, setting the events of the series in motion. He and his gang attempt to bully Shi-Woon a number of times during the first series after he begun his training, only to be shocked at Shi-Woon's transformation from a cowardly boy with no confidence to one who stands up to him and is able to intimidate him with his presence. At one point, Shi-Woon returns to school after a few weeks of training and is confronted by Chang-Ho who mocks him and threatens Sae-Hee. This causes Shi-Woon to become angry and warns Chang-Ho that should he ever touch Sae-Hee, he would kill him. Chang-Ho and his gang is clearly intimidated and despite voices telling him to stop bullying Shi-Woon, he becomes enraged and attacks Shi-Woon from behind with a baseball bat trying to kill him. It is at this time that he tries to hit Sae-Hee who interjected this beating, only to be sent flying by a punch from Shi-Woon which, as seen in New Waves, knocked both of his front teeth out.

as his personal vehicle.
- The master of Chun-Woo. He appears as a tall, muscular man with long, black hair. He was thought of as the dominant force of his era regarding martial arts. A good example of his great power and skill was how he easily sent Jae-Myung Cho flying in the air with little to no effort.
- He trained under the same master as the Alliance Chief, although he was the only one entrusted with the Black Heaven and Earth Technique causing resentment from his fellow pupil. He was told to find a way to overcome the beserker-like state that the Black Origin Threshold brings forth. Years later, he claimed to have solved this, and many Alliance members convened to see if the rumours of him doing so were true, but he lost control and ended up killing all that were present. For his actions, many wanted to see him die, but the Alliance Chief still desired the Black Heaven and Earth Technique and so instead he was exiled into a cave. Eventually, a young Chun-Woo would find and beg him to learn martial arts. Un-Wol accepted Chun-Woo as his disciple, and taught him the Black Heaven and Earth Technique.
- After Chun-Woo won the Shinmujengpe and took the title of Nine Arts Dragon, the Alliance elders went to Un-Wol's cave and demanded Chun-Woo be punished, as one of Un-Wol's conditions for exile was that he not take up a disciple. Wanting to protect Chun-Woo and keep the Technique from the Alliance's grasp, Un-Wol chose to end his life by ripping his heart. This event was the cause for Chun-Woo's great hatred of and revenge against the Alliance to begin.
- One of the four Supernovas, nicknamed the "Northern Black Star". He dresses as a biker and leads the Torrent Clan. He guarded So-Sul until she was freed by Alex and Shi-Woon. During this confrontation, he encountered Chun-Woo and although he did well against him for a time, upon recognizing him as the Nine Arts Dragon, he chopped off his own arm as compensation for his Clan beating Shi-Woon. Chun-Woo was going to take his life which Mun-Gi had already laid aside for his men, but was saved when Shi-Woon persuaded Chun-Woo to let him go and reattach his arm. For this act of compassion, Mun-Gi promised to pay back his debt.
- Later, he would aid Shi-Woon by sending two of his men to act as escorts and take him to safety, but upon learning that Shi-Woon had gone to the Alliance HQ, he went there and faced off against Gyu-Bum Yi, a fellow member of the Supernovas. He is very proficient in his fighting style, which uses a Kukri knife-like weapon and making use of his long limbs and reach.
- One of the four Supernovas, known as the Southern Red Star and is extremely polite. He first appears as the doorman to the KOA building, allowing entrance to Chun-Woo and Shi-Ho but no-one else. When Shi-Woon arrives, he sends him flying back and goes inside. Upon seeing Shi-Woon's power, he realizes he is the apprentice of the Nine Arts Dragon who had evaded all Alliance perimeters and agrees to a one-on-one duel. He easily dispatches Shi-Woon but is damaged against the hit that landed. He attempts to use the Thunderbolt Strike but Mun-Gi appears and prevents him from landing. During their conversation, it is revealed that he was a dedicated follower of the Nine Arts Dragon and with a number of other Martial Artists tried to reform the Murim. But when the Nine Arts Dragon disappeared, they became targets.
- While wandering, he eventually became a Supernova and joined the Sun-Woo Clan. Upon learning that So-Sul had been freed, he allowed Shi-Woon access to the floor Chun-Woo was on. He meets up with So-Sul on the KOA rooftop, only to find that she is willingly joining the Black Forest Defense Group and instructs him to aid Shi-Woon in any way possible until her return.
- He appears a number of weeks later when Shi-Woon is at school with a number of people from the Sun-Woo Clan, and informs him of his position as the new Sun-Woo Clan Head, this being the direct onset for New Waves. At the start of New Waves, he tries to convince Shi-Woon to join the Sun-Woo Clan even though Shi-Woon does not wish to re-enter the Murim world, and when he eventually does is seen helping him at times as per the last request he was given by So-Sul.

After the incident at the Alliance HQ, he replaces the former chief as the Alliance Head.

- One of the Munju of the Martial Arts Alliance and head of the Iron Fist School. Of all the Munju in the Alliance, he has the worst temper. He bears a great hatred for the Goo-Moon-Ryong and wished to personally kill him. However when he faced him, he proved that despite his immense strength produced from his Cheol-Dong-Gong (Iron Body Technique) which allowed him to destroy cement foundations and to over-turn a car with one hand, he lacked speed and as such was an easy opponent for Chun-Woo, resulting in his quick death.

- When Jin-Ie explained to Gyu-Bum Yi about his fighting style, he analyzed his skill claiming he fought her using his hands. However, Gyu-Bum claims that in the past he was renowned as a skilled sword master, meaning the style or length of a blade is meaningless (even chopsticks could be used as a sword), summarizing that Ji-Gun's unit of measure is only the length of his finger. His skills are exceptional, being able to defeat Jin-Ie with only a finger (Jin-Ie being in the top 5 fighters in the powerful Sun-Woo Clan). However, during his match with Shi-Woon, it is revealed that he does not in fact use the swordless style, and is instead simply using a finger technique.
