. In 1951, the Maer hosted Devon's first Minor Counties Championship match against Berkshire
, and has since played host to 49 Minor Counties Championship matches. In 1973, the ground played host to a Women's One Day International in the 1973 Women's World Cup. In 1986, it hosted its first List A match in the 1986 NatWest Trophy
between Devon and Nottinghamshire
