Tim McMillan

Tim McMillan is a Canadian

Tim grew up on a farm near Lloydminster – the same farm that his family homesteaded on over 100 years ago. His family was very involved in community life and this led Tim to develop an interest in his community and in local and provincial politics. Tim attended university in Victoria, BC, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. Tim was able to attend the University of Victoria on an athletic scholarship. During the summers of his university years, Tim worked for the British Columbia Forest Service fighting forest fires.
After completing his Economics degree, Tim spent some time traveling and working abroad. He has hiked to the Mount Everest Base Camp and dived on the Great Barrier Reef. He has lived and worked as an IT professional in London, England.
Tim eventually returned to Saskatchewan to take over the family farm and raise his own family. Tim and his wife, Ali, have two daughters: Reilly and Gracie.
In the fall 2009 legislative session, Tim introduced a private members bill to protect the wild ponies of the Bronson Forest, which is in his constituency. The bill is called Bill No. 606, The Protection of the Wild Ponies of the Bronson Forest Act. It received royal assent December 3, 2009.
Currently, Tim is the Chair of the Caucus’ Standing Policy Committee on Crowns and Central Agencies and the Chair of the Legislature’s Standing Committee on Crowns and Central Agencies. He is also a member of the Private Bills House Committee and a member of the Legislation and Regulation Review (Caucus) Committee.
