. He is a member of the Chaisson Family, prominent in the music of Prince Edward Island
. Chaisson started his professional music career at 14, joining his older brothers and cousins in the celtic rock band Kindle, playing bass. He released his debut CD when he was 15, a recording which featured the young musician's fiddling ability. His second independent release Something Acoustic won Pop Album of the Year at the Music Prince Edward Island Awards and a showcase spot at the 2005 East Coast Music Awards. In 2007, Tim won 5 Music PEI awards for his third release "Even" including Entertainer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year. The album was also nominated for Pop Recording of the Year at the 2008 East Coast Music Awards.
Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold’s independent recording Broken Hearted Beat, was released in 2009. The album was produced by Gordie Johnson
