and was honored with a Silver Dome Award by the Illinois Broadcasters Association. In the summer of 2008, Negovan agreed to move off the broadcast to make way for veteran anchor Steve Sanders. The WGN-TV
Midday News was then expanded to 90 minutes. Negovan is currently the principal backup anchor for all WGN-TV
