The Twisted Trees, Crooked Bush, or Crooked Trees of Alticane are an unexplained grove of deformed aspen
trees found in Saskatchewan
, Canada
. They are found approximately twenty kilometers north-north-west of the town of Hafford, Saskatchewan
and just over five kilometers south-west of Alticane and have drawn tourists from around the world.
Biologists have been unable to explain the phenomenon, which occurs on private land. Theories range from a rare genetic mutation to UFO or other paranormal
explanations. Prominent in Saskatchewan folklore, the trees have as yet eluded a conclusive explanation.
