Amin's test career got of to a somewhat slower start. He made his debut against Australia and scored 1 run in his debut innings before scoring 33 in the second innings as pakitan lost by 150 runs
In August 2010, he was accused, along with fast bowler Wahab Riaz, of accepting 10,000 GBP from alleged bookmaker Mazhar Majeed. The incident was secretly filmed.

Early life and career
He began playing cricket in 2001 when he was in 7th grade. It was his father’s passion and he wanted him to play cricket. He was not initially very keen but eventually got selection for U16 for the first time. After which he developed trust in it and then began to perform well at the U19 stage to get selected for the Pakistan U19 side. After which he was called up for Pakistan A squad.
