In 2010 the Village Fete was superseded by V&A Summer Camp, a two-day festival of design and crafts, where UK artists and designers commandeered tents around the Museum. Summer Camp focused on skill-learning, resourcefulness and empowerment through design.In 2009, the feature took place over the weekend of the 25-26 July.
