Victoria (Ontario electoral district)

Victoria was a federal electoral district
represented in the Canadian
House of Commons
from 1904 to 1968. It was located in the province
of Ontario
. This riding was first created in 1903 from parts of Peterborough East
, Victoria North
and Victoria South
ridings.
It was initially defined as consisting of the county of Victoria
, and the provisional county of Haliburton. In 1947, it was expanded to include the townships of Rama, Mara, Thorah and Brock in the county of Ontario
.
The electoral district was abolished in 1966 when it became part of Victoria—Haliburton riding.
