History
The original name of Barangay Villa Teresita is Sitio Tag-amo, which then a part of Barangay San Pascual. Before, it was called sitio tag- amo, because the center of this sitio was covered with a forestForest

There were only a few inhabitants in this area at that time. The first people who lived in this place were Daniel Maboloc, Fausto Mantica, Pelagio Golosino, Francisco Luzon, Pastor Luzon, together with their families from the years 1925 to 1930. Later many people from the towns of Guindulman

During World War II

, this sitio was already thickly populated because there were many evacuees from the different towns of Bohol. Daniel Maboloc was then the first leader of the sitio. The barangay chapel was constructed during his term who donated the lot on which it was constructed. In 1945, Bonifacio Cachapero was also elected as a leader of this sitio. This was the time that the school established. And the name of the school is Villa Teresita Primary School in honor of the daughter of the late Councilor Aguido Maboloc, Teresita, who died during the Japanese occupation. Aguido Maboloc also donated the parcel of land where the school of Villa Teresita is located.
Another leader, Pelagio Golosino was elected from 1950 to 1954. Then followed by Sabiniano Mantica, 1955–60; Mr. Herminio Verula, 1965-67. Thereafter, there was a formal election of Barangay San Pascual for Teniente and for Vice-Teniente del Barrio of Barangay San Pascual representing the sitio of Villa Teresita.
On June 22, 1968 sitio Villa Teresita was approved as an independent barangay of Ubay during the administration of the late Mayor Rufina Delima. Elections were held that year and Hilario Mantica, became the first elected Barangay Captain.
