, Poland, he won his first tournament in 1976, and between then and 1982 won 15 singles titles and 52 doubles titles. His best year was arguably 1980, where he reached the quarter-final in the French Open at Roland Garros
, the US Open and Wimbledon. His career singles win-loss record was 520–310. Fibak's highest single ranking was No.10 on July 25, 1977 and highest doubles ranking was No.19 on February 4, 1985. He was consistently ranked top 20 in singles.Fibak's career prize money was $2,725,403.
