Xplora are an electronic rock band originally formed in Lima
, Perú
.
and synth pop. In 1997, Xplora formed when they met guitar and keyboard player Gino Valdivieso.
In 2000, Aro left the band for personal reasons, and Iván Peralta filled in as the band's engineer. In 2006 Peralta became a member of Xplora.
Xplora's debut release Intro demo tape 1.0 in 1999 garnered the band recognition among Peruvian electronic circles. In 2002 Xplora reissued it as Intro demo disk 1.0.
Azul Electrónico
is the first official CD of the group, released in in November 2002. Videos for "Medianoche" and "Antiparaiso" received MTV airtime. One of the most popular singles is "Morfeo".
In early 2009, the band produced its second album, Variaciones en Tiempo Real.
It is difficult to classify Xplora music. Electro rock

Background
In 1993 Peruvian musicians Alvaro Aro and Ricardo Allemant met Javier Vera in their high school, and the trio discovered similarities in their taste of new waveNew Wave music

Touring
Xplora performed in Lima from 2000 until 2003. They played in La Estación de Barranco, La Noche, El Sargento Pimienta, and Entre Otros. The band also played in Perúvian cities Chincha and La Oroya.Trivia
