Yinchuan Hedong Airport is an airport in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China
. It is located 25 kilometres (15.5 mi) southeast of downtown Yinchuan in Linghe Town of Lingwu City.
It is a relatively small airport compared to many airports in China. Nevertheless, it is the autonomous region's main aviation
gateway. Its name Hedong means "East of the River" and is literally derived from the fact that the airport is located east of the Yellow River
. It is presently connected to over 20 cities by either direct flights, or transferring in Xi'an
