It is a suburb of the capital of Bern.
It is home to the Swiss College of Agriculture (SHL) and the Bern Switzerland Temple
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP
which received 29% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SPS
(21.2%), the FDP
(18.7%) and the Green Party
