Balita Ngayon is the former flagship national network news broadcast of ABS-CBN
in the Philippines
from 1969–1972, then from 1986-1987. It became the second newscast that used in Filipino. It was broadcasted on Channel 3 (then Channel 2) and The World Tonight on Channel 9 (then Channel 4)
which lasted for 5 years and the first Filipino newscast of ABS-CBN from 5 to 5:30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. But the newscast was ceased airing due to Martial law
as ABS-CBN shut downed for 14 years. On July 16, 1986, Balita Ngayon returned to Channel 2 for its re-run with Mel Tiangco
