Notes
Texas
Texas is the second largest U.S. state by both area and population, and the largest state by area in the contiguous United States. The name, based on the Caddo word "Tejas" meaning "friends" or "allies", was applied by the Spanish to the Caddo themselves and to the region of their settlement in...
that had Loop designations.
Notes
- An italicized location indicates that the Highway Designation File does not give an official name for the highway. All other highways are designated "[location] Loop".
- Just because any of the roads below are labeled as "loops", does not necessarily mean the roads are circular—some are bypasses, some are replacements for historic routings of other roads, some "loops" are actually straight roads that don't encircle an area at all (which might make some "loop" routings better as "spurs" instead).
