Nawab Mustajab Ali Khan son of Nawab Sikandar Ali Khan's Children are settled in Multan. They feel proud to be called as 'Yousafzais' and own those Pakhtun warrior. They are successful civilians. He was considered to have been a very generous person: Every baraat
(bridegroom's party that goes to collect the bride) stayed in his home, every funeral obsequy was held in his home. He always helped the poor.
Nawabzada Hamid Ali khan, descendant of Nawab Abdul Rehman Khan, was titular Nawab of Jhajjar at the time of independence in 1947 and was famous for his bravery and loyalty . His faimaly still resides there and mostly all of them are successful businessman and zamidars
Jhajjar suffered many vicissitudes of fortune. It was sacked by Muhammad Ghori; then rebuilt by Jats and Ahir tribes.
Before the partition of India, there lived a tribe of Yusufzai Pathan
s which were further classified into Navabzade Pathans, Choudharizade, lalkhani, qaimkhani, jhabookhani, emaadkhani, chotey derwaze waley and barey derwazey walay. Accordingly Jhajjar had several distinct mohallas or quarters: Mohalla Choudhrian, Mohalla Emadkhan, Mohalla Qaimkhan, Mohalla Lalkhan, Teebri ki Gali and the Chota and Bara Darwaza.
At present jhajjar is developing at a great pace with the development of SEZs and power plant.

via Jhajjar. It may be commissioned in 2012. The Rewari-Hisar
railway line also passes through Jhajjar district but far from Jhajjar town.

State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HSIIDC), signed a joint venture to set up a multi-product special economic zone in Jhajjar. At an investment of Rs.400 billion, the project was stated to be India’s largest SEZ spread over 25,000 acres (100 km2). It was to be implement by a 90:10 joint venture company, Reliance Haryana SEZ Ltd. Reliance and HSIIDC will have directors in a ratio of 2:1 on the board of the joint venture company. There has been considerable opposition to forcible acquisition of agricultural land for the SEZ by the government. The SEZ project has been delayed.
After the truce between the Ambani
brothers the new and old business seems to be coming back on track. RIL is planning to kick-start its SEZ plan in Gurgaon
and Jhajjar with around Rs 3000 crore being pumped in.Agreements are virtually done with Japan

The Sufi Pir Mehboob Alam Khan,Pir Akbar Ali Khan, Pir Faiz Ali Khan, who is also called Pir Faiza and Shah Ghazi Kamal were renowned inhabitants of Jhajjar, and their tombs or mazars are still to be found there. There are thousands of their followers in India and Pakistan. The successors of these pirs live in Sargodha.
Local Cuisine=
Jhajjar is famous for its cattle wealth. There is no dearth of milk and milk products in the cuisine of Haryana. People prepare ghee and butter at home and you can see a liberal usage of ghee in their regular diet. The Home made butter is called tindi or nooni ghee and in most homes they daily churn fresh ghee. In weddings, it is customary for people to give gifts prepared from ghee to the bride's family. Buttermilk, Lassi and tea are common drinks.
Fresh vegetables and fruits are easily available. The most relished dishes are Raabri, Bajre ki khichri with lassi and Bajre ki roti with saag(vegetable made by green leafful vegetables),nooni ghee, lassi. Teet ka achar is a pickle made of Kair tree. Some of the popular Haryana cuisines are Singri ki sabzi, Kachri ki Sabzi, Methi Gajar, Mixed Dal, Hara Dhania Cholia, Kadhi Pakora, Tamatar Chutney, Bathua Raita, Khichri, Mithe Chawal, Besan Masala Roti Makhan, Bhura Roti Ghee, Bajra Aloo Roti Makhan, Churma, Kheer and Malpuas.[59] Pethe ki subji is made on special occasions.
