Since 1 April 2011, LAN Airlines has started to suspend some destinations (Brasilia, Cartagena De Indias, Toronto-Pearson, Havana and Paris-CDG), bring down frequencies (Sydney, Frankfurt, Papeete, Easter Island/Hanga Roa and San Francisco), and postpone some of its intended destinations (London-LHR and Washington D.C) due to high oil prices. However, it is expected to resume, bring up frequencies and start new destinations by the end of the year and in the first quarters of 2012.
