 also attacked Sarvaiya kingdoms of Amreli, Kundla & others in which they were defeated. When Mahmud Begada, attacked Amreli, after taking over Junagadh from Chudasama, the Sarvaiya rulers of Amreli, two brothers Jaso (Jesaji) and Vejo (Vejaji) became outlaws, in order to re conquer Amreli. Many bardic verses are said of their exploits. After remaining in outlawry for twelve years, they gave up Amreli and settled in Hathasni. Later, the brothers divided the new estate between them, Jaso receiving Hathasni and Vejo estate of Jesar.

The fort of Vejalkotha also known as Vejalkot is named after its founder Sarvaiya Vejo (Vejoji), which is located in Girnar

Some archeological evidence and inscriptions mentioning this facts have been found and unearthed like Hathsani inscription and others found among ruins of Vejalkot.

They were thus reduced to small estate and village chiefs after they lost Amreli and their old glory. However, till the time of independence, the princely state of Jesar, Hathsani and nearby estates were ruled by Sarvaiya Rajputs. The Jesar
