The team was founded in 2008, and initially played in the United Soccer Leagues
W-League
. They played in the Atlantic Division of the W-League's Eastern Conference for a total of three seasons, from 2008–2010, but are not scheduled to return for the 2011 season. In February 2011 it was announced they would be joining the WPSL.
The team plays its home games at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa, Florida
. Their colors were white, red and black.
