WDP4 Loco with SCR
SCR credits first to introduce WDP4 EMD locomotives with 4000Horsepower capacity. The Locoshed wad first established at Hubli Division of Then SCR and present day SWR. The purpose was to increase fuel efficiency and banking of locomotives on Briganza Ghat of Goa Section. Most of the Iron ore is transported through Mormugao Section. SCR lost these locomotives due to the formation of South Western Railways and bifurcation of Hubli Division.Super Fast Services
