. The Taro Division was part of the Italian II Corps that took part in the Battle of Greece
and the Invasion of Yugoslavia
. It remained in Yugoslavia as an occupation force in Montenegro
and after July 1941, in Croatia
. In 1942 it was sent to Albania and then home to Italy. In November 1942 it took part in the invasion of Vichy France
. The Division was disbanded after the Italian surrender to the Allies
in September 1943.
