The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), founded in 1996, is a non-profit organization that promotes computer and video game entertainment with the annual D.I.C.E. Summit
event, where its Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony has been held annually since 1998. Its membership consists of industry professionals, and only professional members who meet a set of minimum criteria are able to vote for the best entertainment software of the year.
The winners of the Interactive Achievement Awards are determined by secure ballot of industry experts. These experts comprise a body of accomplishments in all facets of game craft: art, design, engineering, animation, performance and production. All Academy voting is conducted in secret-online, secure, supervised and certified by eBallot Inc. The Interactive Achievement Awards is broadcast on G4 TV, and G4TV.com.

Annual Interactive Achievement Awards
The Interactive Achievement Awards (IAA's) are the awards that recognize the year's best videogames, computer games, online entertainment, outstanding individuals, and groundbreaking development teams that have propelled the advancement of the entertainment software industry. The awards presented by the AIAS are determined by a vote of field specific and Academy members.The winners of the Interactive Achievement Awards are determined by secure ballot of industry experts.
